# Whitelisted Gang Rules

**Lost Souls Haven** is a story-first roleplay environment. Every act of violence must have clear narrative purpose and meaningful context. Crime should drive storylines and carry lasting consequences rather than exist for shock value or constant action.

Gangs and criminal groups are expected to exert influence through social presence, reputation, and long-term roleplay—not open domination or nonstop conflict.

Above all, Lost Souls Haven prioritizes **character-driven roleplay** over winning, grinding, or continuous combat. The goal is immersion, development, and storytelling that feels alive and earned.

### Misuse & Revocation

Any misuse of the Gang or Family role will result in the revocation of that title and the loss of all perks.\
These roles are considered high-tier RP roles and come with greater expectations and responsibilities.

### Starting a Gang or Family

* Gangs and Families are **Whitelisted Roles** and require an in-character initiation followed by a Discord application.
* Only **serious**, **experienced roleplayers** will be considered for this role.
* You must have a minimum of 48 IC hours before joining or forming a gang.

### Gang Structure

* **Maximum of 10 members** per Gang or Family.
* All gangs must maintain a clear chain of command.
* It is the **Gang Leader’s responsibility** to relay staff communications to their members.

### &#x20;Recruitment and Probation

* All recruitment must be fully roleplayed in character.&#x20;
* You may not have friends create alternate characters and immediately place them within the gang. Organic RP MUST take place with any 'new boots'.

### Gang Responsibilities

* Gang Leaders are held **accountable** for the actions of all members.
* Misuse of power by any member can result in the **revocation of gang privileges** for the entire group.
* Gang-related information (including Black Market access) must **stay within the gang**—this includes **not sharing with alt characters**, especially those involved with law enforcement.
* **Selling or leaking** gang information (like Black Market locations) to settlers is strictly prohibited and will result in **immediate disbanding of the gang**.

### Gang Protocol

* Gangs and Families are **not an excuse** to intimidate, torture, chain-rob, or kill without meaningful RP.
* All gang RP should be well-orchestrated, involving **settlers, other gangs**, and **law** in meaningful ways.
* All in-gang communication and planning must be done **in-character** (in-county).
* Gangs must fear **consequences** (fines, jail time, death)—they are **not untouchable**.
* Gang status does not exempt you from obeying **Law Enforcement** or justify harassing **civilians**.

### &#x20;Inter-Gang Roleplay

* A **baseline level of respect** is expected between gangs.
* Each gang is assigned a **territory** (subject to change as the server evolves).
* Committing crimes or operating in another gang's territory is allowed, but may result in **retaliation RP** from that gang.
* Remember if you are a new gang it is up to YOU to form relationshsips with existing gangs and families. You do NOT just enter as a gang and are the top dog.

### Public Conduct

* Gang activity must remain discreet.
* Open violence, intimidations or conflict in front of citizens should remain minimal unless a gang war has been declared.
* Gangs are expected to create scenes, not chaos.&#x20;
* Senseless or repetitive violence without roleplay will be grounds for removal.

### Operational Requirements

* Crimes must be planned and roleplayed.
* Escalation must be gradual and realistic. Slow Burn RP IS the foundation of Criminal Roleplay in Lost Souls Haven.
* Crimes must fit the setting.

### Use of Force

* Violence must always be justified and backed with roleplay.&#x20;
* No shoot on sight.
* No ambushes without meaningful buildup.
* Established gang wars are sotry arcs, not kill competitions. Nobody is required to perma their character, HOWEVER if you are seriously injured you must roleplay that injury out for a realistic amout of time.

### Approved Activities

* Drug growing, processing and distribution.
* Moonshining
* Robberies of Civilians (although this is preferred to stay at a minimum)
* Store, Bank, Fort and Traing Robberies.
* Smuggling
* Racketeering&#x20;
* Territory and Influence.
* Jailbreak Roleplay.

### Criminal Rights

Criminal characters are granted specific protections to ensure fair and immersive RP:

#### Masked Anonymity

* Criminals wearing masks/disguises cannot be identified solely by voice.
* Meta-identifying someone this way is prohibited.

#### Hideout Secrecy

* Gangs have the right to keep the location of their **hideouts secret**.
* Discovering them should involve **RP detective work**.

#### Consistent Enforcement

* Rules regarding criminal behavior are **enforced equally** and fairly, no matter your character’s faction.

#### Balanced Risk & Reward

* Criminal activities are designed to have **appropriate rewards and consequences**, encouraging meaningful RP and challenge.

### Gang Removal and Memory Loss

* If you are removed from a gang through roleplay, the character must forget knowledge of: gang members, operations, businesses, alliances and locations.&#x20;
* Removal MUST be releplayed as a serious and final scene.&#x20;
* If the ENTIRE gang is disbanded by player decision or administrative decision; the roleplay should be organic with the other gangs and famiilies in county.
