# Metagaming and Powergaming

#### Metagaming

**Metagaming** is the act of using **information your character could not realistically know** to influence in-game actions.

This includes, but is not limited to: Watching **livestreams** to gain in-character knowledge, Listening to **private Discord calls** or **reading Discord chats** to track or follow players, Using **OOC knowledge** to your character’s advantage in any way

**Participating in OOC chats or streams** discussing current RP **while in-county** is **not allowed** under any circumstance.

#### Powergaming

**Powergaming** is when a player tries to **force actions**, control outcomes, or make their character **unrealistically powerful** at the expense of others’ roleplay.

This includes: Forcing outcomes in scenes without giving others a chance to respond, Not allowing room for failure, consequences, or opposition, Attempting to “win” every scenario rather than fostering collaborative storytelling.

#### Consequences

Both **metagaming and powergaming** are considered **serious violations** of server rules. Offenders may face disciplinary action.
